About
I am a Texas raised, hard working, small town girl with a love for the outdoors and helping others. I am a former college cheerleader and a dedicated Texas Tech Alumni. In 2014, I became one of the most bullied teenagers in the world.
Growing up, I watched my parents develop and grow small businesses into very successful, large companies. Their work ethic of treating people fair and caring about others while still growing profitable businesses and enjoying the journey, instilled in me the type of person I want to be. I always strive to achieve my personal best in everything I do.
I love being outdoors. At an early age, my father would let me tag along on his hunts, and it wasn’t long before I developed a passion for hunting, as well. We hunted locally as well as internationally. At the age of 14, I became the youngest hunter to harvest the African Big 5, which consists of the Leopard, Lion, Cape Buffalo, Rhinoceros, and Elephant. By 21, I had completed the Dangerous 7, adding a Hippopotamus and Crocodile to the list.
In 2014, the social media posts of my hunting adventures went viral and created a storm of criticism from mainstream media. I was bullied to a level that no human should experience. I received daily death threats through social media, constant media harassment, and many exploitation attempts by celebrities, as well as a Democratic congressional candidate. Fortunately, I was able to overcome the negative criticism thanks to the support of my family and friends. I learned a lot about myself and how strong I really am. In turn, I channeled that negative energy towards bringing conservation awareness to the non-hunting community and helping others overcome bullying. During this difficult time, I gained the support of hunters and conservationists around the world, receiving the Safari Club International’s Youth Hunter Of The Year Award in 2015. In 2016, I lost my father in a tragic auto accident. Once again, I had to be strong and face negative criticism. In 2018, I was invited to speak at the Hunter’s Leadership Forum about how social media affects today’s hunters vs the previous generations without social media.
I hope that through my adventures, I can encourage others, especially women and young people, to experience all that the great outdoors has to offer. Everything I have endured has only empowered me to continue my mission to educate and bring awareness to conservation, the second amendment, and bullying.
